On September 19, 2025, StreamCity supported the UNTAPPED Workplace Inclusion Awards, hosted by the Open Door Group at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. This annual event celebrates employers and leaders who champion accessibility and workplace inclusion across British Columbia.
Our role was to ensure the event could be experienced clearly and inclusively, both in the room and online.
The client needed a professional, accessible livestream that honored the spirit of the awards. This meant balancing:
• Multi-camera event coverage
• Picture-in-picture ASL interpretation
• Auto-generated captions on Facebook Live
• Clean, reliable in-room feeds to projectors
The challenge was ensuring every voice and message reached both live attendees and remote viewers without technical disruption.
StreamCity provided a five-camera setup, including one camera dedicated solely to the ASL interpreter. We coordinated with the client and venue team to deliver a seamless experience.
Pre-Event Planning
• Venue Walkthrough: Completed earlier in the week to confirm load-in logistics, networking, and AV integration points
• Day-Before Setup: Early access ensured all camera positions, projector feeds, and livestream workflows were tested and secured
On-Site Execution
• Multi-Camera Coverage: Five-camera shoot capturing wide shots, audience reactions, and close-ups of speakers
• ASL Accessibility: Dedicated ASL camera overlayed as picture-in-picture on the livestream and projector screens
• Presentation Playback: Integrated PowerPoint presentations and videos into the program feed, synced for both room and stream
• Facebook Live Stream: Delivered the full event with auto-generated captions enabled
Post-Event Deliverable
Full Recording: A complete event recording provided to the client for archival and future communications
• Inclusive Livestream: Audiences watching online saw ASL interpretation and captions alongside the program.
• Seamless In-Room Experience: Projector feeds displayed the same program mix, ensuring accessibility for all attendees.
• Positive Client Feedback: The Open Door Group commended the clarity, professionalism, and attention to accessibility.
• Archival Value: Recording provided lasting documentation for future organizational use.
• Accessibility isn’t optional—it’s foundational.
• Planning ahead (walkthrough + day-before setup) ensures confidence on event day.
• Multi-camera coverage adds professionalism while supporting inclusion.
